The End (Atomic Highway)

The End

Fix is really sick of walking on this cracked blacktop.
Sick of scrub and sick of the scavenger birds circling above.
It doesnt help that all of the abandoned cars he has passed have been picked clean.

After another hour of walking up a gentle rise, he sees the outline of a broken city on the horizon.
Further down the blacktop you can see a field of grounded planes beside the blacktop.
Ruined factories and warehouses span the space between the planes and the city.

Standing in the middle of the road are two men and a line of six slaves chained together. One slaver is wearing a gas mask painted white and a black hooded coat, the other is dressed in dirty linen robes and has tattoos and piercings all over his face.

The guy with the piercings and facial tats is beating a woman in rags with a riding crop while the man in the gas mask watches with a shotgun resting casually over his shoulder.

The guy in the gasmask has his shotgun, the guy with the piercings has a bulge under his robe that could be a pistol both have knives strapped to their legs. The guy with the piercings has sharpened filed down teeth.
The other guy in the gas mask is starting to lazily turn his head in your direction.
If you want to remain unnoticed roll Nimbleness+Stealth.

Fix drops and rolls into the scrub by the road and peers out between the weeds.
White gas mask looks right around and back to the other slaver who is yanking the woman to her feet, he seems to be completely unaware of Fix.

(Nice.) The rock sails across the road near the slavers, a flock of startled birds fly out of the scrub with a lot of racket.

The guy with the tats and robes pulls the slaves behind a grounded plane near the road and sends the guy in the white gas mask and black coat out to investigate.

You crawl out of the bushes toward the rusting planes circling away from the road so you end up behind the slaver in the robes (roll nimbleness + stealth).
The slaver in the gas mask is still cautiously wandering through the grass to where you threw the rock.
