Re: GAMES ROOM RULES
Godmodding, Metagaming, Powergaming
Godmodding: Automatically assuming your actions will be successful without giving another PC the chance to respond in kind, or an NPC
Example
Swiftwind sneaks behind the guard and hits him on the back of the head so hard he falls unconscious and slips into the moat, drowning.
You have no idea if your attack knocked him out or not. That is for me the GM to determine, as well as the potential outcome from that action. If he isn't knocked out, then he didn't slip and fall into the moat, and since he knows someone hit him in the back of the head, he gets to turn around and hit back, or raise the alarm.
Metagaming: Using information that you the player know but that your character can't possibly know.
Example
Your character is in the dungeon, and while there the King is assassinated and no word reaches the dungeons. When your character leaves the dungeon he exclaims "I much reach the new King and avenge his father's death!" You're character doesn't know there is a new king, so you can't possibly avenge anyone.
Powergaming: Making you character is like a super being and thus nothing phases or can hurt them.
Example
Red Fox looks at the burning building unconcerned, and puts a hand to the sparks setting her tunic of fire, putting them out. With ease and grace, she walks out of the building un-phased, looking to hook up with her companions.
These three things are the big huge "No No" of RPing. Please don't do them. I will warn you the first time, but continued abuse leads to drama, and lack of enjoyment for other players, which no one wants.

Re: GAMES ROOM RULES
1. Lord knows my typing and grammar aren't always great, but please make an effort to make posts readable. If I can't read and understand it, I will ask you to re-write.
2. Try to avoid single sentence posts. I know some times a good one liner is a great tool to use, but 20 one line posts in a row are not.
3. Please try to post one time a day. I like fast paced games, and have found a game is likely to stay around if people are posting regularly to it.
4. Please read the posts in your thread.
