After this and Advanced Fighting Fantasy I will have all of the core books I have been waiting for.
The pcs are granted power over an aspect of reality like night, madness, fear, warfare, etc by what can only be considered the god of that aspect.
The pcs are empowered (or ennobled) to watch over things while the being that ennobled them is off fighting to defend reality from outer beings who would devour it.
