[Lonewolf OOC Game Thread] The Merchant's Task.
This is the thread for character creation, out of character stuff, in short- anything related to the game that isn't part of the game's fiction or character dialogue.
More info on the game.
Righto, everyone playing this game will need to create their own Kai Lord (warrior monks whose training gives them abilities beyond normal people- kinda like a medieval jedi.)
Each of you have a COMBAT SKILL and ENDURANCE trait and 5 Kai Disciplines to start.
COMBAT SKILL measures how lethal you are in combat, but without a weapon you are -4 COMBAT SKILL while fighting.
ENDURANCE measures your health/hit points, when you have none left you are down, so things that restore it are good.
Your COMBAT SKILL = 1D10 + 10
and your ENDURANCE = 1D10 + 20
The Kai Disciplines you can chose from are:
*Camouflage (lets you hide and move without being noticed. You can use it in a town or city as well as in the wilderness.)
*Hunting (Allows you to live off the land almost anywhere and move swiftly and stealthily.)
*Sixth Sense (Sixth Sense alerts you to danger and your sensitivity will provide additional info about things.)
*Tracking (Tracking helps you chose the right path in the wild, find a person or object in a town or city and read the secrets of tracks.)
*Healing (By entering a trance you recover 1 ENDURANCE every five minutes, you can restore 2 ENDURANCE to others. This can be done once per day for each character you heal.)
*Weaponskill (If you chose Weaponskill as a Kai discipline roll 1D10
0-Dagger
1-Spear
2-Mace
3-Shortsword
4-Warhammer
5-Sword
6-Axe
7-Bow
8-Quarterstaff
9-Broadsword
This is the weapon you have mastered- write it next to your Weaponskill discipline and you get a +2 to your COMBAT SKILL when you use it in battle. You start with one of these weapon in your possession.)
*Mindshield (Protects you from psychic attacks)
*Mindblast (allows you to assault some creatures psychically, add +2 to your COMBAT SKILL when applicable.)
*Animal Kinship (You have an almost supernatural affinity with animals, you can communicate with, anticipate and control some animals.)
*Mind over Matter (The ability to move small objects with your powers of concentration.)

As warrior monks everything you have is provided by the Kai Monastry.
You all start with the green tunic and cloak of a Kai initiate,
a backpack,
a map of the last lands,
a leather pouch containing 1D10 + 10 gold crowns,
You can choose five items from the following list (you can only carry two weapons and eight backback items at a time.)
As mentioned above, without a weapon you are -4 COMBAT SKILL while fighting and
ENDURANCE measures your health/hit points so when you have none left you are toast, things that restore it are really handy.
Most of the other items are explained in the brackets.

there is a new sticky note in the games room main lobby. but what you need to do is got to the selection area under the post area with has a dice drop down,just write in the post area what the roll is for then select the dice you require then click post and it will roll a random number based on what you posted.

Sure, the type of weapon is little more than flavour really, rules wise a normal sword and spear work the same in skilled hands.
PS the weapon you get from the Weaponskill discipline doesnt count as one of your five item picks, it is a freebie.
