Wonder world and the spirit of drug induced disaster.

You are facing a mirror looking at your reflection, you don’t seem to remember why you are standing there or how long you have been standing there for. you realize that you don't know the man looking back at you from the mirror You move your hands over your face to make the image in the mirror connect to you, its definitely your body. You pull at your clothing they don't seem familiar to you, you’re wearing light grey jumpsuit style overalls that are slightly stained, theres a name tag on the pocket that reads Bob, you don’t recall the name at all. you start to look around the room you’re in. The room seems to be a cheap hotel room but you don’t know how you got there.

I will have a quick look out the windows, lock the doors, then turn the place over.
I will be checking drawers, my pockets - everything.

(OOC: This sounds a lot like the the surreal movies and indie games I like.)

The room is a fairly standard cheap hotel room, it has light brown patterned wallpaper with green shag carpet there is also a single bed pushed into the corner of the room with a bed side draw which has a pocket bible inside and a room service menu. There is a cushioned chair in the corner but there is nothing underneath it. You search the bathroom but only find some shampoo, conditioner and soap and toilet paper. There is a small flat screen TV mounted on a bracket on the wall but its not turned on, you search your pockets there is a room key which you use to lock the room, there is also what appears to be a credit chip but that's all. As you move from where you where standing you notice two objects on the floor. One is a finely cut filigree crystal about 3cm round by 20cm long, the other looks sort of like a flash Gordon ray gun with a glass bulb sticking out the end.

Out the widow all you see is desert landscape

Picking up the crystal and ray gun, I sit down on the bed and see if they slot together some how.

When the crystal is touched it starts to softly glow a very pale yellow.
The crystals color will slightly change form time to time to a brighter almost orange hue.
The Ray gun does not have any way for the crystal to be inserted into it both seem very different in both design and shape.

I pocket the crystal, point the ray gun at the TV and pull the trigger.

You pull the trigger of the gun it whirs then launches a coiled red beam of light at the TV, the beam hits the screen but it seems to have no effect, the TV in not damaged at all.

"Weird the man mumbles," as he carefully pockets the ray gun. Lifting the phone receiver he listens for a dial tone and tries to recall a phone number. His, his parents, anyones.

When you pick up the phone it does not feel right, you hold the receiver up to your ear there is no dial tone, a few moments later you notice that the phone has no phone cable and seems to just be a shell.

Throwing down the phone in disgust, I walk to the door and slowly open it and peek out.

You slowly unlock, open and Look out the door, there you see nothing, pure darkness... no stars, no anything.

Pulling out the ray gun, I use it like a torch illuminating my surroundings.

You fire gun and wave it around out side the door way into the darkness, the light from the gun makes very little difference as there is nothing for the light to reflect off. Just endless darkness.

I will hold up the crystal and shine the ray guns light through it.

You shot the ray gun through the crystal, the red coiled beam refracts and splits into thousands of multi coloured strands of light, this all looks great to you but you notice it does not seem to be doing anything else.

I run back into the room and look out the window again.

The desert scene out the window appears to be the same as before, just featureless desert stretching off to the horizon.

Hmm, I slowly open the window.

The window opens fine without any real effort at all. you do notice that there is no wind.

I will carefully put my hand out the window and wave it around a little.

As you stick your hand out the window you notice that what appeared to be a desert is not quite what it seems, you can now see its a image suspended in midair in the same void as out the door, you can see the edges of the image blurring off into the darkness, the image seems very real still you can even see sand blowing around the desert. the image seems to only be as big as what was needed to make it look like there was a desert outside.

Pulling his hand back in, Bob closes the window and walks back over to the mirror and stares at it intently.

The mirror seems to be normal, you can see your reflection nothing appears to be strange about it. you start to notice you are getting very tired and hungry very quickly while looking into the mirror, feels now like something is draining your energy.

Quickly Bob turns away from the mirror and throws the lamp at it.
